MESSAGE FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT OF STUDENT AFFAIRS

Headshot of Student Affairs Vice President, Del Beatty

Utah Tech University embodies “active learning. active life.” by creating environments that celebrate education inside and outside the classroom, on and off campus.  As such, the Division of Student Affairs is committed to the design and delivery of services, programs, and experiences that enhance student learning and support our mission.

Our dedicated team of employees works in close partnership with Utah Tech faculty and staff from across campus to provide a collaborative and comprehensive learning experience that fulfills the trailblazing spirit and vision of our institution’s founders. Students are the center of our work, and you will discover that at UT, students are often the ones to initiate, plan, and implement many of our programs and events.

As a division, we value a longstanding and valued partnership with Academic Affairs.  Campus programs and experiences in the Student Affairs Division are designed to purposefully help students integrate their curricular and co-curricular experiences as they seek meaning and purpose in their lives.

Student Affairs staff members are committed to fostering a positive campus climate, building a sense of community, and providing the essential support needed for students, faculty, and staff to develop and thrive.  This is accomplished through offering each prospective and current member of our Utah Tech community the utmost level of respect, care, and concern.

I encourage you to visit the various department websites within Student Affairs to learn more about how we engage students, foster a positive campus climate, and create a sense of community.  I welcome feedback and hope you will contact me or any other member of the Student Affairs team if we can be of assistance.  Welcome to Utah Tech University!

Sincerely,

Del W. Beatty, M. Ed.
Vice President for Student Affairs
